CLV Logistics Database

From May 15 to 17, 2023, in Hanoi, Vietnam, the General Department of Logistics, led by Director General H.E. CHHIENG Pich, organized the Regional Workshop and Exchange Visit on "Development of Logistics Database System for Mekong Region - CLV countries" This workshop spanned three days and was participated by key officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, the General Department of Logistics of Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Cambodia, and representatives from Phnom Penh Autonomous Port and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

The objectives of this workshop and study visit were to enhance the capacities and facilitate knowledge-sharing among relevant stakeholders concerning the development of logistics databases within CLV countries. The event comprised several components:

Presentation sessions for the exchange of insights and experiences related to logistics database development from each participating nation.
A study visit to Tan Cang - Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT), the Logistics Center in Hai Phong, and Vietnam Maritime University.
Discussions aimed at further enhancing regional cooperation in the domain of logistics, with a specific focus on Vietnam.

During the workshop, Director General H.E. CHHIENG Pich expressed his appreciation to participants from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, the Mekong Institute (MI), and the organizing project team for their active involvement. He emphasized the potential of this event to foster ongoing exchanges of experiences and knowledge in the development of Logistics Database Systems, as well as to foster deeper cooperation in the logistics sector across Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam.
