About General Department of Logistics
Overview
The General Department of Logistics (GDL) is a General Department within the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in the Kingdom of Cambodia. GDL carries out several crucial roles and responsibilities, which include the development of master plans, strategies, policies, and legal instruments related to logistics sector. The GDL also takes charge of formulating plans for human resources training and the dissemination of logistics information to enhance knowledge and skills in the sector. Additionally, the general department is responsible for devising plans to ensure the availability of necessary resources for the efficient functioning of the logistics sector. Research and development activities within the logistics sector, as well as the integration of a logistics information management system, are also among the tasks undertaken by the GDL. The general department further focuses on promoting and supporting the growth of the national logistics industries, safeguarding the supply chain of the logistics sector, and fostering innovation within the logistics field.
